Top 10 Cards from Beasts of Blossom

Beasts of Blossom has out for a month, showing up big on the Standard Ranked Ladder, in Daily Tournaments, and Weekend Opens. Today I'll go over the top 10 cards from Beasts of Blossom that have had the biggest impact so far in Champions of Otherworldly Magic.

#10

Dark decks haven't been a huge part of the Standard metagame lately, but when they return Tsume is likely to be the best Dark card from Beasts of Blossom. You have some control over the card that you get from Graverobber, rather than Stealing a random card from the opponent's deck, making Tsume a bit better than similar cards like Xingho. The rate is good and the card advantage is there; Tsume's time to shine will come.

Moss is best known as Sakurajin's active ability, but it's a really solid card on it's own. Compared to Sticka (a 3 mana 3/5 with Harvest) Moss stacks up quite well. A 3 mana 6/6 is something you're happy to have in the midgame, and the Harvest can set you up for a big turn later depending on which Lily you get.

#8

Dynomancer starts off with great stats as a 6/8 rush for 5 mana. When it dies the Afterlife creates a 3/4 Fonteria with Regrowth (3) further compounding the value you get. Dynomancer is everything you're looking for from a 5 mana card as it plays the aggressive, defensive, and value roles all in one package.

#7

Bash has been valuable in the Aldric and Seraph decks lately, drawing cards and attacking well. Being able to immediately impact the board is huge for a Greed card, and upgrading to Bashful has proven very strong as well.

#6

Slitheris has further pushed the controlling Nature strategies, especially Zara Al-Khirad. Extra Earthquake effects to follow cards like Sangur have really helped Zara and Sakurajin... and even Elderbark and Luna decks manage the board to their advantage. The Harvest is the icing on the cake of already strong card.

#5

Some of the best evolution chains come from previous cards that you've already gotten good value off. Bashful evolves from Bash right on time to take out an opposing Champion or to deal immediate damage to your opponent. Still, Bashful is good enough to run on it's own without Bash in your deck.

#4

Gloamlion is the new take on Pukey, with +1 power but getting your cards later. It's proven useful in Supercharge strategies and in Seraph where drawing cards is at an premium. With that said, Gloamlion is efficient enough to fit in just about any deck where Normal is allowed.

#3

A one mana 3/3 isn't the best, but not the worst either. A one mana 6/6 is amazing, as long as you're mindful of where it really falls on your mana curve. Treat Zakura as a turn four play along with a 3-drop and you'll pull ahead on board.

#2

Sakurajin is the best card you can get into play quickly off of an Fyusha or Silva. Sakurajin's true strength comes from being a Hero, allowing you to play Nature/Normal with strong active and passive abilities. I expect Sakurajin to continue performing well in ranked and tournaments.

Fluffiest is an absolute powerhouse with a minimum of 12 rush damage out of nowhere to your opponent. It can immediately attack opposing Champions twice giving it crazy versatility to manage the board. Fluffiest has an evolution from Fluffy (which is quite good on it's own too), and benefits from the +1 power from Aldric, as well as fitting comfortably into any Light deck.
