Featured Card: Cheese

This little mouse might look non-threatening, but don’t let his love for stinky cheese fool you - he’s a dangerous champion that brings power to the earlygame of Light decks everywhere!

Cheese is one of the game’s most interesting 1-drops, offering a 1/4 statline for 1 mana with the board-clearing effect of Retribution (2).

Whenever Cheese dies, he deals 2 damage to all enemy creatures and since he’s able to be played on turn 1, he’s excellent for slowing the opponent down and punishing them for trying to go wide in the early game.

Not only good against early game aggro decks, cheese can also synergize with other board clear effects like earthquake by adding additional AOE damage. If Cheese gets cleared by an earthquake creature like Sangur or Thomp, he’ll immediately trigger his retribution effect and deal additional damage to the enemy’s board.

Available for only a few weeks during the month of July, this is the collector’s cheese. This author won two promo cheese during the reward window and you better believe I’m not selling!

Cheese is an interesting card as the cheapest retribution champion in the game. It currently sees play in Light decks, especially with Seraph hero, and I imagine that in the future it’ll see play in other decks like Soyhammer or Cheezus as well.

If you’re new to the game and you want to join the Light side, a playset of Cheese is a great place to start!
